Wire Work – Wire Weaving

I’ve worked with wire for many, many years, with traditional wrapping techniques.  However, it’s been recently that I have decided to start with some structured wire weaving, which I haven’t really done in the past.  In any case — here are some of my wire creations!

This was actually the very first wire weaving bracelet I ever made. Turned out much better than I had expected. 😀

I started this bracelet years ago, then stopped. I picked it up again about 6 years later...and finally finished it! Again, my organic wirework.

And this is the second wire weaving project I ever completed. Stay tuned for more!

Freeform Wirework Pendant; I do have an ebook tutorial for this project.

This is the kind of wirework that I have been involved with for many years - very organic in construction.

I call this piece “Enchanted”. There’s a lot of wirework in this piece, but the rivoli gets its share of attention!

I’ve titled this pendant “Gift of the Sea”. A year or so ago, I got some wonderful blister pearls (or more precisely, what was called blister pearls) on ebay. This one was just begging to be made into a wirework pendant!

I call this one “Worlds Within” for a couple of reasons. One, the wirework frames the bead within. The other reason is that the bead reminds me of the seas and continents of this world we call home.

I haven’t decided on a name for this one as yet! I used an Amazonite bead, along with some pearls, copper beads and some Swarovski crystals. It was a lot of fun to make!
